About Us
The brainchild of Spanish former model Marisol Douglas, Caradiaz is the combination of two passions: fashion and travel.

With these two elements as the main inspiration and a simple business philosophy summed up by the words "different, stylish, affordable", Marisol and her team at Caradiaz bring together a unique selection of jewellery from talented European designers, for women who enjoy ‘something a little different’.

At Caradiaz you will find:

* stylish chunky jewellery in unconventional designs that will complement beautifully each season’s trends from the catwalks,

* pieces inspired by the heritage, history and traditions of different cultures from exotic lands,

* quality and attention to detail: all items are hand-crafted and made mostly using natural materials (semi-precious stones, wood, shell), glass and resins, and

* affordable prices, despite offering the sort of exclusivity that normally costs ten times as much, with most pieces coming directly from the designers’ workshops.

Marisol has a diverse background in fashion, including catwalk modelling in Spain in the late 1980s/early 1990s. In the late 1990s, she moved to London and enrolled at the London College of Fashion, where she graduated in Business of Fashion Management. She also spent time in the Sales Department at controversial fashion firm Voyage whilst at their peak back in 1997.

Caradiaz is based in the UK.

Past, Present & Future
The company was set up in 2005 when Marisol spotted a gap in the UK’s fashion jewellery market for ‘quality chunky jewellery’. In her holiday travels abroad, Marisol used to explore markets, small boutiques and designer studios looking for interesting, unique pieces of jewellery for her personal use. But gradually, her choices became more and more desirable amongst family, friends and colleagues to the point where Marisol was actually asked to bring back jewellery for them too.

Caradiaz enjoyed a successful start and it continues to thrive, despite fierce competition in the sector. The distinctiveness of its products (all hand-made, no mass-production), together with the company’s high quality standards and personalised customer service, have been key factors in the success of the business so far, a success that has recently been recognised by the fashion press in the form of editorial coverage (see Press).

The long-term plan is to turn Caradiaz into a leading fashion jewellery and accessories brand, not only in the UK but ultimately worldwide, an objective that the company is firmly on course to achieve and for which it is already working hard, developing its product range, maintaining the highest quality standards and providing an excellent customer service.
