About Caradiaz
Caradiaz.com is a unique on-line jewellery shop selling its exclusive eponymous collection, Caradiaz, alongside a range of complementary labels sourced from around the world.

The brainchild of Spanish former model Marisol Douglas, the name Caradiaz is the combination of two passions: fashion and travel.

With these two elements as the main inspiration and a simple business philosophy summed up by the words "unusual, stylish, affordable", Marisol and her Spanish team put together every season a range of unique jewellery for stylish women looking for ‘something a little different’.

At Caradiaz.com you will find:

* on-trend, desing-led chunky/statement jewellery, hand-made in Spain in a variety of materials including, semi-precious stones, wood, shell, Murano glass, resin and quality platings in yellow gold, rose gold, rhodium and silver,

* jewellery inspired by the art, history and traditions of different cultures from exotic lands,

* high quality, attention to detail, personalised customer service, and

* affordable prices, despite offering the sort of design exclusivity that normally costs ten times as much.

Marisol has a diverse background in fashion, including catwalk modelling in Spain in the late 1980s/early 1990s. In the late 1990s, she moved to London and enrolled at the London College of Fashion, where she graduated in Business of Fashion Management. She also spent time in the Sales Department at the controversial fashion firm Voyage whilst at their peak back in 1997.

Now a wife and a mother, Marisol continues to divide her busy time between her native Spain (where the Caradiaz design and manufacturing teams are based) and the Kentish countryside, where she lives with her husband, daughter and pet cat.

Caradiaz.com is based in the UK.

PAST, PRESENT & FUTURE

Caradiaz.com was set up in 2005 when Marisol spotted a gap in the UK’s fashion jewellery market for ‘quality chunky/statement jewellery’. In her holiday travels, Marisol used to explore the local markets, small boutiques and designer workshops looking for interesting, unusual pieces of jewellery for her personal use. But gradually, her choices became more and more desirable amongst family, friends and colleagues to the point where Marisol was actually asked to buy jewellery for them too.

The company enjoyed a successful start and it continues to thrive, despite fierce competition in the sector. Its distinctive design-led, hand-made jewellery (worlds part from cheap, mass-produced items), together with the company’s high quality standards and personalised customer service, have been key to the success of the business so far, a success that has been recognised by the UK fashion press in the form of editorial coverage (see Press).

In addition to its retail operation and following increasing demand, Caradiaz has extended its business to the wholesale market and supplies jewellery to selected boutiques in the UK, Spain, the US and Canada.

The long-term plan is to turn Caradiaz into a recognised jewellery brand name associated with style, high quality and an excellent customer service.
