A graduate from Spain's prestigious Escola Massana, Catalan designer Carme focuses on originality rather than saleability or fleeting fashion trends. Her pieces are "special" in their own right and help to create a personal style. Carme enjoys the challenge of permanently searching for new materials, her current collection featuring stone, glass, suede, aluminium, copper, raffia, cotton, string and resins that she sculpts emulating natural forms. Every item is hand-made at her studio in Barcelona.
Carme has received awards for the "Most Innovative Material" in 2002 and "Best Avant-garde Designer" in 2004 and 2006 at the international jewellery fair Euro-Bijoux.
