| Adventurous and non-conformist, French designer Jean-Daniel Christin is a naturalist and ornithologist fascinated by natural substances. He travelled to the Philippines in 1985 and set up a workshop there to prepare the raw supplies for production at his design studio in Molières, France. Jean-Daniel has since added unusual materials to his collection, such as fish scales, shark bone, fossils, feathers, saw-dust, fibres, drift wood and seeds amongst others, to create original and exciting pieces of jewellery with the benefit of craftsmanship.
Nature received the “Boutique Jury Award” at the BijOrhca Exhibition in 2001 and also the “Fashion Star Stand Award” also at BijOrhca in 2004. |
